👩‍🎨 Background

Freyja connected to nature at an early age, growing up in Cornwall she spent her childhood building forts and exploring caves on the endless beaches.

It was clear from the obsessive drawing and model making that a life of creation and design was before her. The seed of her science fiction obsession was also started here, snuggling up on the sofa to watch Startrek with her brothers.

She graduated from 3D Design at Brighton University in During her degree, she won a scholarship to Nagoya University of Arts, which provided an inspiring insight to Japanese design culture, a core continuing source of inspiration in both her personal and professional life.

She was able to return to Japan for two years as a Daiwa Scholar in , before coming back to London to complete her MA in Design Products at the RCA.
